Visit Our Dentist Office and Read Our Blog for Healthy Tips

Dentist When you visit our dentist blog, you will find three key elements. We provide a lot of information on preventative medicine. We believe in a holistic form of dental care that allows us to help you prevent serious problems from occurring. This is true in the clinic, and also true online. It is far easier to prevent issues than to have the discomfort and stress of seeking a corrective solution. Secondly, we always try to make things easy to understand.

There is a lot of information online, all competing for your attention. On any given day, there will be millions of searches for everything from gun safes to gum disease, and a resident expert to address all of these. Complicated and convoluted websites tend to confuse patients who have no medical training, and so we want to make sure that we are giving you information in layman’s terms. Finally, the goal of our blog is to be a door opener, a way for you to get enough information so that you know when it is time to call for an appointment. There is no better source of information than a medical professional who knows your history and is able to diagnose you in person.

Most dentist visits, believe it or not, are actually quite mundane. Despite all of the vast amounts of information that you may read online, not all toothaches are a cause for tremendous panic and they certainly will not result in you losing some or all of your teeth. This is a good thing because tooth pain is the most common reason why people come in to see the dentist. In fact, toothaches are the second most used excuse for people missing work or school days. It is a symptom and one you should not ignore. So if you have a toothache that does not go away, as many do, or keeps reoccurring you should call and schedule an appointment.

The second most common thing people come in for is to get a cavity filled. A cavity occurs when the natural bacteria in your mouth are able to cause a tooth to decay. Bacteria exist naturally in the mouth and is by and large harmless. However, you are required to keep the colonies of bacteria’s population down by a good regiment of cleaning and visiting the dentist for bi-annual professional cleaning. When you allow the bacteria to grow too numerous, they will form a colony on the teeth that is manifested in the form of a yellowish film, known as plaque. When this happens your teeth are at risk for decay, a condition where the acid secreted by these bacteria eats a hole in your enamel, forming a cavity. This is something that we can easily treat in our dentist office.

Regardless of whether you are interested in information on oral health problems, cosmetic solutions like teeth whitening, or dental restorations – we will provide you with information on our blog and in our dentist office.  Call today to schedule your appointment.
